Steve McGarrett – An Officer and a PERFECT Gentleman
Danny’s ex-partner from Jersey is in town. Because of his corruption, Danny was the prosecution’s star witness and had to testify against him. He was put away for 10 years. He is out and he wants to take revenge on Danny, by destroying his loved ones. He kidnaps Grace and forces Danny to shoot and kill Stan.
The team catches up with them just as Danny shoots Stan in the shoulder, to pretend as if he is killing him. The Team arrests Rick and Danny shoots him in the leg and forces him to tell them where he is keeping Grace hostage.

He is a gentleman with a touch of smart @ss. That is part of his irresistible charm.
I curse the garage door that tried to mess with his perfect face! Bump on the head and nose and a chipped tooth only makes him more distinguished. You can’t F*** with PERFECTION!

I can never quite decipher that expression on Steve’s face in the later pics when Danny is hugging Rachel and Grace.(STeve 13 and 14) Is it relief? Is it tiredness? Is he hurt that he was included in the hug?

For me the Team – Steve, Chin & Kono was forming a protective area around Danny and his loved ones. (Kind of a larger hug) I see no place for anyone of them inside that circle. They were passing glances of relief amongst one another.
I think it was relief that Danny did not kill anybody, although he shot 2 people, and that his family was safely back together again. It was also release of the stress they have experienced that whole day.
Of course Alex was also tired and maybe still in shock and hurting, after the accident with the red door. Maybe also relieved that the days shooting was over.
