Recently we have been seeing new unreleased photos posted by Jill on instagram. Taken from H50 season 2 photoshoot. Since not all our readers follow that social media site, we got permission to post the photos on our blog too. Unfortunately wordpress doesn´t allow to view the full uploaded size directly anymore, but opening our pic urls you can view for the gorgeous sized Alex and count his lashes if you want to (click on the link at bottom of pic for the url) 😀
Yesterday some lucky US fans got their dvds and shared the little glimpses of stories behind the scenes. As always, I was eagerly waiting for the gagreel, even though they have gotten shorter each year, there was some nice moments to chuckle at 🙂
All videos shared by Jill, thank you
From the shorelines video, found this Chi bit with Alex funny 😀
And maybe the best part from all the extras, Alex´s full interview. He always intented the show to go on for 10 seasons.
This video was just posted with cast telling their thoughts on the show. They saved the best for last, Alex!
He has been McGarrett everywhere for a decade, but I am so ready for his next role 🙂
“This, for me, has … has kind of been like a master class, in front of the camera, pretty much every waking moment for the last 10 years of my life. Everywhere I go on this planet, I am McGarrett to all these people. Like it’s a huge … it’s an institution.”
Alex looks very happy for this to be finally over 😛
People who have met hard times (even of their own making), but who are able to seek help and turn things around, are a great inspiration. Yesterday I was looking at some gorgeous pictures from the last episode of Hawaii Five-0 and once again saw some of the comments about how Alex keep on looking better and better. Of course he matured physically, as well as on a personal level since the start of Hawaii Five-0, but he also looks so at ease in his own skin at the moment.
This old article shows some of the steps Alex took to turn things around for himself since those hard times at the end of 2011 and beginning of 2012. It always makes me thankful to see that he was strong enough at heart, to make the changes that helped him to recover.
Hawaii Five-0 actor Alex O’Loughlin has overhauled his health and diet following his stint in rehab last year. The Australian star checked himself into a clinic to receive professional help to beat his addiction to painkillers after getting hooked on the pills following a shoulder injury.
He took time off from the show to focus on his recovery and has adopted the strict Paleolithic eating regime, which restricts followers to the diet of early humans.
He tells Australia’s Sydney Morning Herald, “I feel really good; I’ve made a few dietary changes and I’m exploring the whole Paleo thing and training hard, so I’m feeling good.”
Paleo diet: A diet based on the types of foods presumed to have been eaten by early humans, consisting chiefly of meat, fish, vegetables, and fruit, and excluding dairy or grain products and processed food.
