(3) Jack & Pearl: Weeks of desire, turned into action…

These two really look hungry……for each other that is.

Alex O’Loughlin is having an affair ………with couches

“There was a point four years ago when I was living on my mate Sam Gould’s couch for more than a year – so long that my back went out. I had my swag with me and I had to move on to the floor. At that point I’d run out of money. A Ducati motorcycle, the only thing I owned, had been stolen and the insurance money had run out and I couldn’t get arrested in this town”

Alex O’Loughlin, Herald Sun, 14 October 2009

For most of us a couch is a couch. It is something you sit on. Other people might have different connections with it. Somebody visiting a psychiatrist might see it as an object of therapy. For someone a specific couch can hold some erotic memories of a special encounter involving it…..like I said, we all have our different feelings towards them. They are either seen as just another piece of furniture or as part of a memory.

Alex seemed to take his real life experiences with couches to our screens. Is it life imitating art or is it art imitating life?

In Moonlight poor Mick St John denied himself the luxury of even owning a bed. Don’t know if he just never wanted to be reminded of its comfort or maybe the possibility of passion surrounding it, but he opted not to have one. When he eventually needed one, he had to make do with his couch.

And when he had to offer Beth some place to sleep on, she also had to sleep on a couch. (Better than sleeping in the freezer, Beth….or is it?)

In The Back-Up Plan Stan and Zoe technically had their first fight right after they made love for the first time  ……and it seems the farmhouse was so small, that with Zoe sleeping in the bedroom, Alex as Stan had no other choice but to take the couch once again……

With Alex’s latest show Hawaii Five-0, the mystery of why only couches are used, where he apparently lives in one bedroom houses, continues.

In Episode 2:01, after Max patched up Steve’s wound, he got him onto the couch. Also no extra bed or bedroom available here it seems……and another mystery to me, how did tiny Max get unconscious SuperSEAL Steve from the bathroom floor onto that couch?

In Episode 2:09 Danny moved in as Steve’s house guest, after loosing his accommodation, and low and behold, he sleeps on the couch.

Is this all just pure coincidence, is there a pattern here or is it just a special affinity for couches on Alex’s side? Maybe because they are better than sleeping on the floor…….?

“I had nothing. I ended up sleeping on my pal’s office floor while his house was getting sand-blasted and all the floors were being done. The office was sealed off in plastic, so I was literally living in this plastic bubble while the rest of the house was being worked on. I had really dark thoughts in that time. I was very depressed, and I went through a lot of pain. I couldn’t see beyond each day. That might sound overly dramatic, but that’s what I experienced. I didn’t know what to do. I had a good friend who came by every morning and took me for coffee and worked out the plan for every day. I didn’t have the money to go home to Australia even if I’d wanted to. It was friendship that kept me strong. Eventually I just thought, “What the hell! Until you hit your knees, it’s not worth it anyway.”

Goodbye Sweetie……..see you soon (and I promise I will put you in my a bed after I use the stun gun on you………)

Ouch…….is all that force really necessary?

Goodbye girls……

Alex O’Loughlin Starring as the Undercover Vampire Navy SEAL Steve McGarrett in Hawaii Five-0

“I can’t do ‘Moonlight’ again — it’s finished. The bottom line is that my true fans will follow me where I go.”

—Alex O’Loughlin, TVGuide.com, 29 April 2009

This story begins with another story that I did about Steve’s scars a few months ago. I am re-posting it here for those of you who haven’t read it before and also just for all of us to see those few shirtless moments again. 😉

In the beginning of the story I asked for some sort of explanation to this mystery of why the scar moved after Steve was initially shot in the arm and why the scar seems to look different  all the time. Up until now nobody has offered me any form of answer. 😀

One thing I do know is that the chances of anybody surviving a shot in that specific area, will be rare. Why am I saying this? For that we have to take a closer look at where this scar is located.

The scar ladies…..it’s about the scar!

Here is the proof that any human that has been shot in that spot, could not survive it, if not treated immediately and much less be able to fight or operate a gun with that left arm.

On the exact same spot as the scar, you can see the Blue and Pink “tubes” that are the blood vessels that take the blood to and from the arm. The Yellow “tube” is the major nerve that goes to the arm. But anything is possible! It could have happened that the bullet past somewhere between the 1st and 2nd rib and somehow missed all those “tubes”…….but that still leaves me wondering about something else……

I am no gun expert but a bullet fired from a big gun like the one Victor used at such a close range, surely would have gone straight through the body (especially if it was able to penetrate the Kevlar)…..but alas no exit wound has ever been seen on his back.

AND as you can clearly see he WAS hit in the left bicep……..so what happened and why is the scar in a different place?

This is one of the “best” theories I could come up with:

We are watching the stories of Steve McGarrett the Undercover Vampire Navy SEAL of Hawaii Five-0. (The spin-off series of Moonlight)

How did we get here? What happened to Mick after the door closed at the season finale of Moonlight?

Beth woke up the following morning and decided that the s*x was not good enough for her! 😛 She did not want to give up her whole life and become a Vampire or a Freshie and she left Mick. Mick was heartbroken and decided to relocate. He joined the Navy and took the identity of Steve McGarrett. 😯

The first thing that any Moonlight fan will ask me, is how is all this possible? 🙄 How is it possible for a Vampire to be a Navy SEAL and then handle the harsh sunlight in Hawaii? He is hardly ever seen with sunglasses either.

The secret lies in the re-turning by Josef in Moonlight, Episode 13, ‘Fated to Pretend’. With the superior blood lines that mixed in the process, Mick got a special ability to tolerate sunlight. This is what makes him so good at doing his job. He is not only an Undercover Vampire now ……… he is a superhero named Steve McGarrett!! 🙂

Oh and we have to get back to the scars. The scars are just there as a cover for Mick/Steve to look human. He has to add them and his bicep tattoos every time he needs to go shirtless. Sometimes he gets it wrong and they look different. He also forgot where he was actually shot by Victor Hess and he just chose the place where it is now, because he thought it looked cool and it was easy to reach. 😎

But I am on to him and he might just leave us further clues of his true identity – Mick St. John. After all we are fangirls and we look at everything through a magnifying glass. 😀

One of the errors of my career was doing a vampire show. The fans that I got from that show are very committed. They will never ever see me as anything other than Mick St. John.

Goodbye Sweetie…….till next time!

Goodbye girls……

This is dedicated to the make-up department of Hawaii Five-0 – I know I joke about your work a lot, but it is mainly out of pure jealousy. You do a wonderful job and actually get to work closely with this gorgeous man’s body! So please forgive me for all my complaining.

PS. Are there any vacancies? 😉

I am adding this most recent casual picture of Alex to eliminate any confusion there might be of the existence of the scar beneath his collar bone in real life (Please take note that this was taken during hiatus this year and he was most probably not wearing any make-up to cover any scars during his private time)

Alex O’Loughlin and the Ghosts of girlfriends past.

I think I owe you dinner

Steve McGarrett, Hawaii Five-0 – Episode 5 (Nalowale)

Spoiler Alert. Please be aware that if you haven’t seen all of Alex’s wonderful work , there might be some spoilers here or it might even get you curious enough to see them all.

It has been a while now since we heard that Catherine, played by Michelle Borth, is going to be a more permanent member of the cast of H5-0. Up until now we have only seen her in five episodes of the series.
She is, for the most part, a well-loved character that pops in and out of Steve’s life as it is needed in the story. We don’t know how the writers are going to incorporate her on a more permanent basis in the story, but most of us hope for the best.
Any love/lust interests in television shows are kind of doomed. They either don’t last long or they are very volatile. I suspect it is not going to be too different with these two love birds when she is around so much.

But let’s have a look at other love interests that Alex has encountered in the roles he has portrayed.

His biggest “lover” role, thus far, has been Stan in the romantic comedy The Back-Up Plan. Here he is a very noble character, that gets involved with a woman on the day she got artificially inseminated. They kind of like each other and just after they made love for the first time, she reveals her pregnancy to him. He decides to stick around and they continue to build their relationship, during those sometimes “difficult” months of pregnancy. Most people who have known each other for years already, struggle to adjust, so for two people just starting to build a relationship it can turn out to be a “comedy”.

Who cannot help but to fall in love with the wonderful Dr Andy Yablonski in Three Rivers? The man is basically a saint that is being rejected by his police-officer wife and they are separated. She doesn’t want to have his babies?!

Dr Liza Reed falls in the same category as Andy, somebody with a calling as a doctor and that can be classified as a saint. They are a match made in heaven.
Who knows what would have happened with their relationship if the series had continued.

In Moonlight Alex plays a vampire, Mick St John, turned to a life of doom he didn’t want, by the love of his life. His wife Coraline kind of betrays him by giving him “eternal” life without his consent, after they got married and he had proclaimed that he will love her forever. After 33 years of marriage he eventually “kills” her.

Then enters Beth, the woman he saved as a girl. As a grownup she fascinates him and he can’t help falling in love with her. A love that he does not want to pursue for many reasons. Not only the fact that she is human and he is a vampire but also that he has been watching over her since she has been four years old. When they actually meet for the “first” time she is very much involved with another man and Mick is a man of honour with old school values. Another big guess is as to how this relationship would have developed ………

I need a big excuse to somehow incorporate the kissing scene from the movie The Holiday. We can only guess as to what these two lovebirds (known as The Kissing Couple) story was……but it is still cute to watch and I am sure their happiness lasted for ever and ever……

The Invisible did not show us too much of the relationship between car thief and school girl. We can only imagine that things got hot between these two. They both carried the weight of their past and their present lifestyles with them……not good quality relationship material at all. No wonder they killed each other in the end.

FEED, this movie would most probably tip the scale to the side of bizarre relationships. First there is Michael’s wife Mrs Carter, who turns a blind eye to the life her husband lives. She is a religious woman who made herself believe that her husband was serving these women with good deeds (Feeding them while naked and without his wedding ring – service indeed!)

Then we have the feeder-gainer loves in Michael’s life. On some level they fill a warped need in his life. I have already  called them replacements for his mother, but they definitely also play a part in his weird love/lust life.

And then he went and married a pistol in Mary Bryant – the words of Will Bryant as spoken by Alex. This is the interesting tale of Will and Mary Bryant, that meet each other on the ship that transported convicts from Britton to Australia in the 1700’s. I was never really sure, if Will was just one of the many men that Mary used, to get what she needed in life. In the end it seems as if their love for each other was real and they gave each other comfort and hope in a time of great distress.

In Oyster Farmer we have Jack and Pearl. Oh the trials and tribulations of young love. My thanks to the writer/ director of Oyster Farmer that gave us the raw talent of Alex to last for ever. For me Alex was Jack! From their very first meeting you can see that Jack and Pearl kind of like each other.

But then there is always doubt in Jack’s mind. Is Pearl earning some extra income with her body or did she steal his stolen money? That is until he discovered the truth…….

This bring us back to present day and the prospects of Cath and Steve and what lies ahead for them. Alex Steve and Michelle  Catherine are a very well matched couple. Will we be treated with some nice moments between these two? Most of the times when they are together they provide some nice viewing moments for us fan girls.

Goodbye Sweetie…….we’re looking forward to some good times!

Goodbye girls……

For more info on what Michelle herself had to say about her character, you can read what Officer808 found out in Part 1 and Part 2

This is once again dedicated to Justine…..Happy Birthday, dear! We know that the biggest role he has ever played is the lover in your world of fantasy, but we unfortunately have no footage or detail of it to show on here….
