Well this is it, we have arrived at the start of the last week of filming of Hawaii Five-0 for Season 7. And after that, I guess not a lot of fresh news about Alex will be coming through for the next 3½ months of hiatus until filming of Season 8 starts. Can’t say that I am looking forward to it – the hiatus I mean. But it is well deserved for cast and crew, and I hope they enjoy their time of rest.

Of course Alex’s wife, Malia, celebrated her 40th birthday this past week on 27th March. We guess this brand new Range Rover was one of her presents from hubby Alex.

- Because they shot the finale out of sequence, they started filming the penultimate episode this last Wednesday and they will wrap for Season 7 next Friday, 7 April.
Alex O´Loughlin ~ An Intense Study 
I can’t decide which I loved more – bwallace’s screen cap of his convo with Alex, or Alex spoiling his wife with a brand new ride for her 40th. Both had me all 😍
It was so nice to see Alex’s excitement when the S8 news broke. It was sweet that he thanked the crew for their hard work (and they do work blooming hard!). Because he’s not interested in social media, we don’t get to hear his thoughts like we do from the cast and crew who are on social media, so it was really great that Brian shared that with us.
The hiatus will suck because we’ll see a lot less of Alex. But I’ll also miss seeing them filming. It’s always fun seeing the pics come in then watching how it translates on screen. Still, they really, really deserve this time off. I hope Alex gets the rest he needs, and his body recovers and feels better so he can fully enjoy filming his last season on the show.

I absolutely adore Brian Wallace’ wonderful words about Alex and the screen cap of their conversation! Feels like the people on set step in for Alex like mother hen, respecting him, thanking him when others don’t feel the need to do so. *cough*
And Alex’ words show exactly how much he cares for everybody involved. I remember what he said at SOTB right from the beginning: that H50 is not just about the actors but the whole team, all those people who have a job thanks to the show.

Alex never lets me down. I love hearing crew members & people who meet him say what a nice guy he is. It just confirms what I have always thought; that he is beautiful inside and outside!
