#AlexOLoughlin and his Tattoos

Our first study post here at “Intense Study”, nearly 7 years ago, was of course about Alex’s tattoos – no surprise there.  There were so much to say about it, that we divided it into 3 different posts at the time. And they remained our most popular posts over the years.

Since then we felt it needed updating and we have been contemplating new post for many years already, yet never found the time to do so. I guess the time is right to do another one.

But why now?

Because I realized with a bang that those who asked me the question about a year ago already, of whether Alex’s red nipple tattoo has gone missing, were in fact right. At the time my mind was not in the fangirl game and with no time for studying the footage I dismissed it. I thought it was just bad examples and that Alex was sweating (or getting MOIST as he would call it) and that together with the lighting caused the tattoo to look gone. But now I have had time to take a good look at some of the pictures in a bigger format. And …..

It became more difficult in the later years to spot these changes in the tattoos, because the sad thing is, we do not get nearly enough private shirtless pictures of Alex these days. It is also difficult to notice tattoos when he is Steve, because they normally cover the nipple tattoos with make-up. And of course we have not had a lot of shirtless episodes of Steve either  – maybe only one a season lately? 😦

It looks like it is not just faded, but that it has been spesifically removed. Why do I say that? On this picture (below) of Steve taken in late 2017 it is actually still visible, even though the gecko tattoo was covered with some orange make-up, the red tattoo showed. That means that from somewhere in late 2017 to April 2018 it has gone missing. That can only happen with deliberate removal I would guess.

AND it looks like the gecko tattoo is also on its way out …… it looks faded. Well, it looked faded a year ago, maybe it is already gone by now? Let’s hope for some shirtless proof soon!

In this picture (below) from August 2018, we can see that it was not just our imagination or maybe sweat or the lighting on the other earlier pictures that caused the tattoo to look gone – it is gone. Here is a different private setting and you can still see that it is missing. Unfortunately we can’t see the others side with the Gecko tattoo clearly, in order to make an assessment of what is happening there.

Maybe the important question in regards to the tattoos now, is to ask whether the “new” two tattoo dots on Alex’s ring finger counts as 1 or 2 tattoos? 😉 😉

Well, they are not really new anymore of course, because the have been there for nearly 2 years already ….

Late Addition:

• Some people mentioned sighting of a new tattoo for Alex on his middle finger, seen on Paley footage. I see no evidence of it. If I am missing something, please let me know. Here are the pictures I looked at. Best quality I could find.

Got new footage of Paley – seems the new tattoo is on the inner part of the middle finger. Nice catch to those who saw it. I did not have these new pictures before. Guess I need to search for even more pictures from the Paley …..
