We continue sharing the social media posts of the past weeks.
Remembering the 240 episodes of Hawaii Five-0 by sharing a picture from each episode together with some thoughts shared by Alex and others at the time and over the years ……
Day 46
(One of my personal favourite moments on H50 – this hug between Steve and Kono)
240 days of #AlexOLoughlin on #H50
(Pic 46/240)“Probably the biggest thing is how responsible for the show I actually feel. I don’t know if that’s my job to feel that way or whatever.”– Alex O’Loughlin, Philippine Daily Inquirer, Jun 2012

Day 47

(Pic 47/240)“I got hurt a number of times on the show, and I took a break, and it was the best thing for my physical recovery. Everything’s good now.” – Alex O’Loughlin, USA Today, Sept 2012

Day 48
240 days of #AlexOLoughlin – #H50
(Pic 48/240)“Alex is just phenomenal. He’s such a good actor. That first big confrontation scene in the first episode, I felt, ‘Ah, this is so great. I don’t have to do any work, because he’s so great. I just have to look in his eyes and respond.’ He’s talented, boy. He’s the real thing.” – Christine Lahti, SceenerTV, October 2012

“Family is my first priority. I hate to tell the producers of this show that, but that’s my first priority. The show is my second priority. The show is extremely important, and you see how much I put into the show, so you can only imagine how much I put into my family,” – Alex O’Loughlin, Honolulu Pulse, September 2012.

Day 50
240 days of #AlexOLoughlin on #H50
(Pic 50/240)“Every spare minute I get, I am at home. I’m with the kids, I am with Malia. I came back into season three, and I realized that … I am having a baby and I have my 15-year-old at home as well who lives with me and I have a lot of responsibilities. But more than that, I have a responsibility to myself, and that’s something that I think I neglected a little bit. Not in a careless way, but this is the first show that I have had that has succeeded. I think I felt like it was really on my shoulders, and I had some sort of Superman complex — I’m going to be all right; you can’t hurt me. But you can. I’m just like everyone else. Bang me around enough, eventually something’s going to break.,” – Alex O’Loughlin, Honolulu Pulse, September 2012.

Day 51
240 days of #AlexOLoughlin on #H50
(Pic 51/240)“Christine is such an incredible actor. She’s so much fun on set, but she has such a presence And she brings that…..the character of Doris McGarrett perfectly, you know she plays it pitch-perfect.” – Alex O’Loughlin on HNN, Sept 2012

Day 52

(Pic 52/240)
“It [Hawaii] became home pretty quickly for me. I fell in love with this place. I was in Los Angeles for a long time before this you. And I’m not someone who gets homesick very often, but when I did, I would really …. I would keenly feel the absence of all the sort of little familiarities and comfortabilities that Australia has for me. And here it’s actually a lot …. it’s kind of a lot like Australia. It’s a lot like Queensland. And the people here are a lot more like Australians. Hawaiians are very sort of chilled-out and grounded and loving but tough. There are a lot of similarities. So I feel at home. I love it here.” – Alex O’Loughlin, HNN, Sept 2012

After all these years, I still enjoy Season 3 the most.
It was such a wonderful period for Alex personally and also for the stories of each episode in the show that year!
