 “I actually really like this season. It feels like a lot of things have smoothed out. I’ve relaxed a bit and I’m not taking risks. I’m not doing stunts like I used to. I just can sit back, do my work and be with my family. So actually, for me it’s fantastic. I feel like I’ve got a bit of job security now. “I do complicate things. Like I’ll buy a house, get a puppy and take on a new lead role at the same time. I’m complicating things less. I think my life feels very, very full right now. I have two sons, my partner has two sons, that makes three (between us) in total. We have a very energetic dog, I have a mortgage and a house and a big show and I’m like, “You know what? “I just like him [Alex] enormously…he has the chops…and he has the passion for it. We have always hit it off right from the get-go. It’s funny because we don’t see each other often. • William Sadler talks about the scene in Episode 3:15 (Hookman) where Steve sees a vision of his dad. It was also a special episode because it was a remake of one of the episodes (6:01) from the old H5O series. 

He says that some people on the set were unsure of how that scene would look like but for him and Alex,

“It was if something happened. There was that certain kind of feeling on the set as if something important had just occurred. And as we all know now, it was something very mystical about that father and son experience.”

and William added in describing the Five-0 chemistry, 

“You know when you are on a TV show. Sometimes you tend to stay in the trailer and have a “call me when you need me” kind of attitude. But this cast looks after each other, they hang out together, they talk about what they do during weekends or if they tried this or that.

This is a group who seems to be enjoying the ride and they know that they all are in the same boat together.”

“There’s something about this show. I work on this show and it’s kind of a reboot of a really famous show that we all know and love. We have done our best to kind of remain …… keep as much integrity, and tip our hats where we can to the old show. But we are doing something different. And I think we do what we do well. But there’s a lot of magic moments along the way. We’ve had huge amounts of support from people all around the world. We have incredible guest casts that come through. We had Terrence Howard on for like one day last month. I don’t know how to explain that other than it’s a testament to what we are doing here and to what we’ve all created. That’s the old rule man, no kids or animals! But I love working with kids, I’ve never not enjoyed it. But then again maybe I’ve never had a bad kid. The thing about working with children is that there are no walls there, no barriers between you and their vanity. When you’re working with adults, we all have vanity, narcissism, whatever we have that has to do with our ego can potentially get in the way of our work. With kids, there is a purity and an innocence regardless of what character they’re playing within them. “And I really like the stories we’ve done so far too. It really becomes a family affair, you know. After this amount of time. I mean, any sort of film set is, is  kind of like a family. Well that’s what you hope for. But after you spend years and years together, and you weed out people that aren’t happy, or don’t fit or whatever. You end up with a really close group of people. And there’s a familiarity that comes along with that. And that kind of turns into a well oiled machine.

Some great news for this week, is that the Facebook page  “Alex O’Loughlin Updates” of the AOLO fansite came back online.

But unfortunately none of the other Alex O’Loughlin fan pages on Facebook that went missing came back – that we know of.

And there are still disgruntled people who target real fanpages by reporting them – that is really sad!!

I came back into season three, and I realized that … I am having a baby and I have my 15-year-old at home as well who lives with me and I have a lot of responsibilities. But more than that, I have a responsibility to myself, and that’s something that I think I neglected a little bit. Not in a careless way, but this is the first show that I have had that has succeeded. “It [Hawaii] became home pretty quickly for me. I fell in love with this place. I was in Los Angeles for a long time before this you. And I’m not someone who gets homesick very often, but when I did, I would really …. I would keenly feel the absence of all the sort of little familiarities and comfortabilities that Australia has for me. And here it’s actually a lot …. it’s kind of a lot like Australia. It’s a lot like Queensland. And the people here are a lot more like Australians. Hawaiians are very sort of chilled-out and grounded and loving but tough. There are a lot of similarities. So I know everybody has been waiting for photos so here they are. Firstly though I want to let everyone know that the gentleman in the photo with me (is not Neal ) it is the Australian Actor Alex O’Loughlin who played Steve McGarrett in Hawaii 5 0. As my family knows I am totally obsessed with the show. I could not believe that he was at a shop when we walked past. He was not bothered at all when I asked for a photo which is lovely considering he was just out shopping with his wife. This has made my whole holiday and the cruise hasnt even started. 

It is so great to see Alex so relaxed with fans while he is out and about with Malia.

PS. I am always amazed at how fans can’t see how emaciated and sick Alex looked during this time……. many just kind of mindlessly announce how awesome he looks on the pictures!
