#AlexOLoughlin Photoshoots Over The Years – With Terence Chin 2005

Another one of our photoshoots posts from way back at the beginning of Alex’s film career ….

We know of only 3 pictures available, that were apparently from a photoshoot with Sydney photographer Terence Chin. And we are not even sure that they were taken on the same occasion. All the sources say that these pictures were taken in 2005 – it seems that the first two were used in an article about Oyster Farmer. Unfortunately, we do not know much about it.

The reason we are not sure that it was taken on the same day, is because Alex is wearing a different T-shirt and he is not wearing the watch as in the other pictures. Not, that changing of clothes would be an issue with a photoshoot. It is just that there is not much known about exactly when these were taken.

  • The only other time that we know of when this picture was used, was when the gossip site Blabbermouth.net reported about the newspaper’s false report of Alex being Bon Scott’s son in 2007.

He’s on the well-trodden path to Hollywood stardom, but it seems Aussie actor Alex O’Loughlin may also be well-versed in the “Highway to Hell”.

The “Oyster Farmer” star — who recently joined the cast of U.S. cop drama “The Shield” — has apparently revealed he’s the son of late AC/DC frontman Ronald “Bon” Scott, according to World Entertainment News Network

And while [The Daily Telegraph‘s] Confidential yesterday contacted both O’Loughlin‘s Sydney and L.A.-based agents, neither were able to confirm the claim which first appeared in the Chicago Tribune last week.

O’Loughlin — currently dating fellow Aussie hottie Holly Valance — was also out of reach, in Canada to film thriller “Whiteout” alongside Kate Beckinsale.

The NIDA-trained actor, who was tested for the role of James Bond before it went to Daniel Craig, was born in 1977 at the height of Scott‘s fame — three years before the rocker died in London in February in 1980.

The quick spread of these types of false reports just shows you how fast something can become a fact on social media and all over the internet. Some even remain facts for many years, even when not true or substantiated. And this report also got people confused about Alex’s year of birth.

In many interviews and magazine articles after that, it was mentioned and Alex had a good laugh at the false rumour.

News Weekly: There was a rumour that you were the secret love child of Bon Scott, the late lead singer of AC/DC.

Alex: Where did that rumour come from? That just knocked me.

News Weekly: There’s also another guy claiming that he is Bon’s son…

Alex: It’s the same photo that they used to compare me. And this other dude – he looks nothing like me! I was looking at it going [to actress/singer girlfriend Holly Valance]“Hol, I could be Bon Scott’s son”, and she said, “No you couldn’t, you don’t look anything like him.” This other bloke, maybe he is, good luck to him! [Laughs]

News Weekly: It must be bizarre for a rumour like that just to come from nowhere.

Alex: It is bizarre, man. But it wasn’t malicious, it was almost cool. Kind of mysterious. My Dad was cool as a cucumber, Mum was a little hurt. She was a little offended but she got over it. It’s just ridiculous.
