Another Hawaiian event that Alex and Malia attended back in the days.
We do not know how involved they were or are with the charity, but it is another good cause for which they have shown support.
Tuxes and tails
More than $720,000 was raised for the Hawaiian Humane Society at a gala benefit on April 4, 2015 at The Royal Hawaiian.
Live auctioneer Eric Schiff raised the woof with nearly $130,000 generated from 7 exclusive experiences and offerings. Chanel donated a watch featuring 12 diamonds that helped to raise more than $12,000.
Mahalo to the 2015 event committee: Chairs Mary Philpotts McGrath & Alice Robinson; Table Sales Chair Ginny Tiu; and Auction Chairs Vicky Cayetano and Carol Pregill.
Special thanks to our emcee hosts Gary Sprinkle & Pamela Young, photographers Dave Greer & Jeff Chung and more than 100 volunteers who helped to produce Tuxes & Tails 2015: Reigning Cats & Dogs.
Established in 1883, the Hawaiian Humane Society is an independent, local nonprofit and is not a chapter of any organization. All proceeds from this event stay in Hawaii to help local animals and people.
