  4. Yep, he made him real. Like with all his roles AOL disappears with the camera rolling and the character emerges. I know folks who have seen him on set and they say exactly that. After “action” he becomes a totally different person. They say it was amazing to watch.
    Steve was real, thanks to Alex, and that is what made this show last 10 years.

    McGarrett Twitter sites are posting lots of photos of Steve in his dress blues and dress whites. Alex is breathtaking in uniform. He’s perfection. In looking more closely at the photos, I’m struck by Alex’ perfection in creating the Navy SEAL Steve McGarrett. His posture, mental attitude and demeanor are perfect. His salute is 100% correct. Comparing his salutes to other characters standing beside him, Alex IS Navy SEAL Steve McGarrett. He totally transforms into the character. Other characters have sloppy salutes, but Steve McGarrett has a perfect salute. That’s how Alex honors the Navy SEAL character he portrays.
