More Goodies from the #AlexOLoughlin & #H50 Weekend

SO MUCH happening  in and around the Alex universe this weekend.

We started out with Sunset on the Beach on Thursday evening. Many pictures and footage from it. We will still do one more post of some of the pictures that we haven’t posted yet. We might also do a few transcripts of interviews from it.

On Friday night Alex invited cast and crew and friends to watch Episode 10:07 with him at the Hawaii Theatre. That is the episode which he wrote and directed. As you can see from the comments below, everybody seem to be very excited about it.

Then on Saturday night Alex hosted a private party for cast and crew and friends as a thank you for all their hard work. It looks like everybody had a lot of fun. If more pictures emerge from it we will do a post about it.

One of the pictures from the party:

Waited 6 years for this photo. Love this guy.

Some more pictures and comments from the cast and crew about their experiences at the screening of Episode 10:07 on

Friday night.

Sometimes life hits you with special moments you can lock away in your heart for the rest of your life. You feel like your heart is about to beat out of your chest, your sweating, nervous and you feel a buzz all over your body and you don’t know why. Then it hits you, your living in one of those special moments right now. This time I got to share it with BIG BRO and a room full of the BEST CREW in fucken the world. Wait till you see what Al and the best crew and show in the world created…. #HAWAIIFIVE0. #ALOHA #RUNITSTRAIGHT

#marcamcclellan #alexoloughlin #hawaiifive0 #h50 Photo opp after the private screening of Alex’s Season 10 episode that he wrote during hiatus and directed…outside of the @hawaiitheatre. Marc came from all day on set straight to the event…long hours but we were all blown away by Alex’s episode and was worth it

kimeebalmilero Waking up this morning feeling extra grateful. I don’t have a lot of experience on big sets, but I do know what good vibes feel like. And the Hawaii Five-0 Ohana is all good vibes. From the “smallest job” to this guy standing on stage…EVERYONE works hard to make the show happen. Last night I realized that there are a lot of similarities between Alex and my mentor Mr. Ronald Bright. Both supportive and fearless leaders who understand that their success could only happen with the work and commitment of others. I’m so stoked to be a small part of this very special family. Thank you, Universe❤️

Hope you all enjoy the week.
And of course Friday night Hawaii Five-0 Season 10 kicks off.

Love their friendship. Was such a special evening tonight. So much to be thankful for, so many selfless people all with the biggest hearts. Private screening of Steve and Jim’s episode directed by Alex one of the best episodes I have seen to date for this show, felt like a movie. This guy has directing and writing talent #hawaiifive0

#AlexOLoughlin on ET Canada – #H50 SOTB 2019 (Transcript)

Here is the transcript from the ET Canada interview at SOTB 2019.

Sorry for all the background noise and other conversations around them.

Alex: Hey man.

ET Canada: How the heck are you?

Alex:  How the heck am I? I’m heckin good. I don’t know, how do you … how do you? What’s the correct response?

ET Canada: So, tell me ..  tell me … tell me how great it is to have all these fans here tonight.

Alex: Oh man ….. Look, look at them.

[Fans cheering]

Alex: They are awesome. Like, without those guys, I don’t have a job. So it’s like, I don’t really have the words to describe my gratitude … gracefully. Because, how do you say thank you to millions and millions of people, you know? These guys are representatives of like millions of people all around the world that had tuned in for a decade. And keep my family fed and kept hundreds and hundreds of people employed. So yeh, I don’t know. I mean. What do I say man?

ET Canada: What’s going to make Season 10 the best season ever?

Alex: The episode I wrote and directed.

ET Canada: Tell us about that.

Alex: I’m kidding. I don’t know. I mean, they’re all good, right. Yeah I ….. I, I …. spend the hiatus writing an episode that I wanted to deliver. That I just sort of wanted to say … give a thank you gift to the legacy that’s carried me for ten years. And there’s a storyline that I didn’t feel like we had wrapped up in a satisfactory way for me. And I think the fans will appreciate it … I hope. And, it was an ambitious thing man. I tried to write something cinematic and shoot it in a very non-cinematic ….. you know, compounded amount of time and budget and all the rest of it. We …. I don’t know, I don’t know ….. I like it. I am very  green man …. as a writer. I don’t know, I’m not a writer, you know, but ….

ET Canada: How do you sustain a show so successfully for 10 amazing years?

Alex: In what sense? You mean as an actor?

ET Canada: Yeah, as an actor.

Alex: Well like if you …. Like there’s some actors, they kind of cruise, you know. They have like a bunch of time off and they …. But as a number one on the call sheet. You know, number one the call sheet – all that means, is that you’re going to work more than anyone else. That’s all that means. It doesn’t mean that you are talented or more special or any of that stuff. So the answer is, you’ve got to look after yourself. You’ve got to like treat …. You got to look after your body. You’ve got to treat …. I don’t know how other people do it, but I try to eat well, you know. And just keep just staying measured. It’s like if you’ve got to sprint a marathon. How do you do that? Ýou get some good shoes and drink a lot of water.
