(2011) #H50 honored at Hawaii State Capitol – including #AlexOLoughlin

With this post we are taking you back 7 years …..

On 31 March 2011 just before the wrap up of the first season of Hawaii Five-0, the lawmakers of Hawaii  honoured members of the show at the Hawaiian State Capitol. Those who were honoured included the two actors Alex O’Loughlin and  Daniel Dae Kim.

Al Harrington, Daniel Dae Kim, Alex O’Loughlin, Peter Lenkov, and Glenn Geller pictured with members of the 2011 Hawaii State House of Representatives on March 31, 2011.

We compiled a post with some of the pictures taken that day, as well as some of the video clips of the proceedings.

Together with the people from Hawaii Five-0 there was also someone else that was honored that day. Patrick Gartside was recognised for his selflessness in donating bone marrow cells and a kidney to others.

These are some of the best photos because they are candid shots and give a real sense of who he is. My only complaint is that he looks so young and unlike me, has only gotten better. Unfair!

    • I agree, mamayorkie. Like you, I think it’s unfair. Scandalously so. Either the man has made a pact with the devil, either he spends many hours a day with a coach who trains him to be beautiful year after year no matter how old he is. Not that I think for a moment that he cares.

WOW, where do you find all these wonderful events, photos, articles, interviews!!! Alex looks very young and very gorgeous here. Has everyone noticed what a wonderful listener Alex is? He focuses 100% of his attention on the event or speaker. Dr. Gonzalo Gonzalez-Stawinski said that Alex soaked up incredibly complicated medical technology, terminology and surgical techniques like a sponge when he shadowed the heart transplant physician for THREE RIVERS. He graciously deflects attention from himself and focuses upon the event at hand. He’s an incredible ambassador for HAWAII FIVE-O.

    • Have had all the stuff for many years since the beginning. Just do not always know how to turn them into articles that would be of any interest. There are many more that we can do.
Many do not like the old stuff, but at the moment I need to go back to the beginning and re-live those memories to remind me why we love him so much.
The H50 fandom with all its ugliness means nothing – for us it is all about Alex the actor and the kind soul he is, and not the show and all that comes with it.

FOYeur, everything you’ve been posting lately is a huge treasure chest of riches on Alex and the show: diamonds, emeralds, rubies and gold coins spilling out everywhere. The posts are delightful gifts for newer site visitors like me. I hope that going back to the beginning brings back the joy you felt back then when it was all new, exciting, breathless, and not tainted by toxic fan groups. I personally love to travel down memory lane. But for me on this site, everything about Alex is brand new, so it’s all pretty breathtaking. I just keep learning what a special human being he really is.
