Alex O’Loughlin is the actor who plays Steve McGarrett, and his birthday is on 24 August.

Very nice photos to get up to on this snowy morning. Really like your site. We know the real deal is 41 this year. I will say the Commander without looking at the show photo should be around the same age or even a bit older.

Steve is either 6 months older or 6 months younger that Alex depending on how you use the evidence.

Thank you. The Commander’s DOB was given in the season one finale, it was shown on the screen but not said in dialog, McG was born in 1977, so he’s a year younger than our Alex… that means it’s the big 4-0 for him! Wish they’d cover this in tonight’s eppy, but I won’t hold my breath. HAPPY BIRTHDAY COMMANDER!

I was hoping for a 40th birthday episode, too. Since the whole gang won’t be in this one, I don’t think they’ll mention his b-day. That sucks because the show will air on the actual birthday. Anyway, happy birthday to our handsome task force leader!
