He Should Write It – #AlexOloughlin Memoirs Quote

I have actually thought about writing memoirs, not so much, kind of, but it’s not about my acting life, it’s more about my entire life.

But to be perfectly honest I don’t think my entire life is interesting enough for a memoir. But I have had a lot of really interesting experiences in my live and met a lot of interesting people and had a lot of odd and interesting coincidences and stuff.

So I often feel like I like to incorporate them into a film.

Belas pernas! Daqui a uns anos faz mais sentido escrever um livro de memórias. Até lá vai construindo a sua história com salpicos de génio! 😘

  4. Do it, Alex. Write your memoirs or make a film. You are an interesting, inspiring man and you could inspire a lot of people. ❤ — Alex said in an interview once, he wants to do films which make people come up to him telling him how much it meant to them. By what Alex has told about himself over the years, an autobiographical film could certainly do that.

Yes, an autobiography would be highly interesting, preferably as a book. Who could play Alex if it were a movie? But knowing how he is set in keeping his life private, I wonder if, once the book was written, he wouldn’t start editing it day after day until his memoirs could be written on a couple of pages. And when I say his autobio would be interesting, I don’t mean at all his love or sex life, but his vital experiences. I’d love to read about them, to know what it took the little Aussie boy who used to crash his bike into a wall of bricks to turn into the man he is now. Alex, you write, I buy and read!

      • Well, I think, you have a good point. If you write an autobiography you always expose yourself to the public and the public´s judgement. I think, that´s tough for everybody if you are not extremely extroverted anyway or carry a sense of feeling of being SO important. So maybe we will never be able to watch or read an Alex O`Loughlin autobiography. Would be a pity though. But if he doesn´t want to expose himself the way he would by writing an autobiography, he can always write a story/book/script based on his life.

Now that’s a good idea. If he writes a story/book/script based on his life, the public won’t be able to make out what is fiction and what is real. So he’ll be able to share his interesting experiences without exposing himself. Plus this way, he can leave the door open to write his memoirs when he’s older, with a long life full of interesting episodes behind him.
