Life around #AlexOLoughlin – a week in review (11 – 18 October 2015)

This week has really been a very quiet week and not much to report on and you will see that many categories were not included this week. It looks like Alex and the family travelled to LA at the end of last week and spent the weekend there. It would be interesting to see if there were any other reason for him to visit, besides his wife’s swimwear line.

kovayoga Words can’t express my gratitude for being a part of this amazing show yesterday. Everyone on set was amazing and wonderful. I had a blast shooting with #alexoloughlin and #scottcaan the two are hilarious and both wonderful actors. Be sure to watch episode 11 season 6.

The words of a fangirl:

We started this fanpage just over 3 years ago to share our fun with Alex with other fans who are interested in him. Neither one of us believe too much in general celebrity worship and running after every famous person we can find to somehow bask in their fame. We kind of see Alex as our hobby and a way to create something and connect with others who also enjoy his work, adore him as a person and find him worthwhile following.

We do not see Alex as some sort of flawless God or even ‘God’s gift to women’, but for us he is one in a million. We see him as a gorgeous bloke from next door who, from humble beginnings, worked hard to make his dreams come true. A naughty but very kind soul, who shows tons of respect for fellow humans and his work. One of those rare creatures that are beautiful inside and out.

Although we sometimes get serious about stuff, we mostly enjoy some good humour and keep an open mind about our mild obsession. We also believe in laughing at ourselves regularly – because fangirling is supposed to be fun.

Because we have never been close to Alex in person, and  most probably will never have that opportunity, we rely heavily on what others, who do meet and also work with him, have to say. That together with what and how he says things in interviews and at events are our sources for what we report on and use to set our opinion about who he is.

Time and time again our choice in our hobby is confirmed as a good one, by what we see that others have to say. It is our privilege to share with you whatever we can find of  those experiences, as they are recorded by others. We might give an opinion on their encounter, but we do not alter what has been said.

For us Alex remains a “good investment” and we don’t have to explain him as a person to others. He is who he is and we love him for it. His actions speak for themselves and we are proud to see ourselves as part of his fans …….

And thank you to those of you who enjoy Alex with us.

• Polls where one person can vote multiple times – All it shows is which side have more people who have no real lives and can vote more times that the other side.  I find it stupid.

Most ‘interesting’ search for the week:

• was alex o’loughlin in the military?

It is a search we often get and it makes me wonder. Is Alex so good in his portrayal of a Navy SEAL that others would think he is not acting but just being that person? And how many ex military people become actors? I know there are some but I can’t recall any. It seems that many people struggle with the concept of ‘real world’ vs TV fantasy that actors create.

Next Week:

• From the pictures and information available, it is clear that they started filming Episode 611 last week. They should then be wrapping it up this week and moving on to Episode 612 during the week.
