Alex O’Loughlin Meets Beth on “Three Rivers” Set – March 2009

On Monday, March 30th, Moonlight fan Beth (yes, that really is her name!) got up close and personal for a moment with Alex O’Loughlin on the set of the Three Rivers pilot. Beth was there as an extra for a day and although she couldn’t get close during filming, she saw her chance during a break in the lunch tent when she walked up to him and asked for a photograph. When she told him that she is a big Moonlight fan, Alex took her hand and asked her name. Upon hearing that it is “Beth”, he gave her a surprised smile and said, “Oh, really?”.

Apparently the atmosphere on the set is excellent, with everyone enjoying themselves. “Some of the more experienced extras said it was one of the nicest sets they had worked on,” says Beth.

She adds that Alex is “even sweeter and more adorable in person” and confirms that his days are long. “He is working so hard. Let me tell you, he didn’t stop all day and as busy as he was, he was still so sweet as to take the time to talk to me and take the picture.” She also says that Alex clearly expressed his eagerness for Three Rivers to be picked up.

I think we’re all extremely pleased to know how happy he is to be back in the saddle and that he is enthusiastically putting all his energy into Three Rivers, in typical Alex fashion. His commitment to the project is conveyed very clearly in his latest blog message: “… I have been totally consumed with my research and preparation for this role and along the way I have discovered a secret passion within myself for cardio thoracic surgery! Who knew?!! ;)”.
