#AlexOLoughlin Picture of The Day – #Mick

Alex: I love the vampire genre, though. I always have. Actually, I want to recommend a film, Let the Right One In … It’s directed by Tomas Alfredson.

Mike: I’ve seen it. It’s great.

Alex: You’ve seen it?

Mike: Yeah, I liked it.

Alex: Oh, it’s f*ckin’ brilliant. Yeah, I’m a huge vampire fan

Mike: Did you two trade vampire stories on the set? (Filming Whiteout with Kate Beckinsale)

Alex: A little bit, yeah. It was more like, “Who was the better vampire?” I was the better vampire! No, I was the better vampire! No, I’m a boy, I was better and I’m stronger than you!” (Laughs)

We went back and forth, and I think she finally said, “You’re an idiot” and walked away.

But the bottom line is Mick St. John would kill what’s her name, I don’t even remember her name, from the (Underworld) movie! Mick St. John would kill her!

#AlexOLoughlin Loves to Tinker

guitar-ps

I like to tinker. I have lots of guitars and I’m always making a racket.

It’s been a hobby my whole life – and I don’t profess to be good at it, but I enjoy it very much.

Alex O'Loughlin playing the guitar

Before our talk, I saw the actor (Alex) standing in “Video Village,” where the crew members viewed a scene being filmed, while O’Loughlin took turns switching off with Chiklis (who was also directing the episode) playing a bass guitar a crew member had loaned them.

August Rush was a wonderful experience for me.

I read the script all the way through while I was shooting The Invisible and I loved it and I read it again. I knew I had to be part of that film. I put down 2 tests at a studio in Vancouver.

I played guitar and sang a couple of songs and did a few dialogue scenes.

It’s a hobby for me, but I’m never alone if there’s a guitar there.

Pic of the day #Marcus

Tell me about filming the movies, The Invisible and August Rush.
The Invisible was shot in Vancouver and I was a lead but I was not the main lead. So I had a bunch of time off in Vancouver at such a beautiful time of the year when winter was approaching. My character worked out a lot since he had a lot of time on his hands so I ran 10-12 miles a day for 5 days a week, and shaved my head for the role. It was very physical but that was fun.”

“There is one part in the film where Margarita Levieva’s character, Annie has me at gunpoint on the edge. When she kicks me off the small edge, she actually did that! I had a wire on me. The take that they used was actually when I almost lost my balance, so that was fun.”

With Alex O’Loughlin ……… it’s always worth a try ♥

When it comes to Alex, it is always worth the try…… there is always some reward for a fangirl, when he is involved! 🙂

Alex and Egan

In October 2013 the Grappling Unlimited T-shirts designed by Alex and Egan were launched at Athletes originals (<<< link to order shirts)

As part of a promotion for the T-shirts, Athletes originals ran a photo competition. We got the winner’s story……

hip-hip-hurray to @howmanymanu

 Manu’s story:

I already owned some of the t-shirts from Egan, I love the design and they are comfy for my workouts, plus I saw Alex wearing them in pics and having them it kinda made me feel closer to HIM, silly I know, but that’s me!
Alex designed most of the t-shirt together with Egan, I think the one with the Samurai is really cool.
Anyways, in March a friend of mine on twitter said that there was a contest from Grappling Unlimited and Athlete Original about sending a pic wearing Egan’s t-shirts.
Egan and Alex would choose the winners plus there would be a 25% of discount buying a t-shirt that weekend.

This was the competition:

I immediately decided I would take part, for fun and because the idea of Alex looking at a pic of mine for just 2 seconds made me giggle like a 3 years old.

I put some thought into what the picture should look like, I knew I wouldn’t be neither the prettiest nor the fittest of the contenders so I decided to focus on a couple of things I knew Alex and Egan would like, fun and the concept of team work.We know that our boy is always up for a giggle. So I sent two pics, the 1st one, because of my silly slippers.
And the 2nd one, I thought, lets pretend I’m lifting the weight just with one finger but make it clear that there is a trick there! I captioned the pic “Team work”.
I forgot all about the contest until yesterday, when my time line filled up with congratulations and finally I found the tweet from Athlete Original:
Congratulations to @howmanymanu who was handpicked as the winner of our #GrapplingUnlimited contest by Egan Inoue and Alex O’Loughlin! She will be receiving a $200 #AthleteOriginals shopping spree! #TGIFive0

I couldn’t believe my eyes, Alex and Egan picked my photo? No way. I started laughing and nearly crying at the same time, I was so excited that they like and appreciated my humor. The news got me brain-scrambled for a while, I just couldn’t get my head around the fact that the guy I have dreamt about for the past few years actually saw my pic and liked it.
Funny thing is that after his Wedding many people told me “Oh now you’ll have to find another celeb crush”! Not going to happen, I love and admire our Alex now more than ever, he always gives us more reasons with his talent, down to earth manners and caring personality.
So thank you Alex and Egan for making my day….week….oh well, lets even say month Emoji
Thank you to Manu for once again sharing your Alex-experience with us. 🙂
You can also read Manu’s story of her trip to Sunset On The Beach at Waikiki beach in Hawaii, in September 2013:

420 – Steve having fun with his BFFs

Pretty good story this week but I still enjoyed more the off-the-plot scenes. Steve had fun poking both Danny and Grover. I just loved the humor in these scenes. Isn´t it fun to watch Alex/Steve showing his comedic skills 😀

It started with Steve and Danno…

Continuing with a “jellis” McCousteau going on and on about Grover meeting a old, depressed, senile fish, who´s wish was to end it´s days 😀

And then Grover got lucky twice in one day 🙂

Steve tasting the depressed fish and getting dared to a fish off, with his buddy betting against him!

Good luck Steve, get the biggest catch!
