A month ago when some things drastically changed in my life, Paula immediately asked me if I still wanted to continue with ‘Intense Study‘. Without even thinking twice my answer was that Alex still inspires me and as long as that is the case, I would always want to continue following his career and enjoying him with her and with others here on our little Alex heaven.
Another thing Paula mentioned, was that there seems to be such a lot of people with troubles around us in the fandom. Maybe ‘real-life’ let some of us follow a life online, to escape some of its harshnesses? I think for many of us following Alex and Hawaii-Five-0, it gives us that time to relax and enjoy the pretty. 😀
When we started ‘Intense Study’ just over 15 months ago, we decided that we want to have fun while we follow Alex and his career, and together with it share some of that fun with others. We hoped that there will be other fans that enjoyed what we do. Lucky for us and beyond our expectation, some of you do seem to enjoy it…. !! 😛

In March we posted a story about which countries seems to enjoy what we do the most and who follows Alex through our site. We thought it might be fun to see how things developed since that time:
This summary shows us the following:
- The top 15 countries that visit the site.
- The percentage (%) of the total views that they represent. (All of those above 1% – representing 87% of our total views and the rest of the 13% is made up from a lot of countries, all with less than 1% in contribution)
- Behind each country’s name, you can see the position that the country held in March.
- Behind the percentage you can see how much of the percentage they moved up or down since March – Thank you for all the new support from France, Germany and the Nederlands!!
After that we also compared the countries, while keeping their population in mind – with that, making the comparison more realistic. This is what we got:
As you can see we have a new country at number 1 – Congratulations Iceland!!
Because of the small population in Iceland and some fan or fans from there visiting us regularly, they moved to the front of the pack. 🙂 Apart from Iceland that came out of nowhere to the first position, France moved up 4 places, the Netherlands moved up 3 places and Germany 1 position. Thank you all for your wonderful support!!
For me, the friends that I made over the past two years, really became dear to my heart. When a beautiful white rose tweeted to me in my time of sorrow, from a friend who I have never met in person, thousands of miles away, made me cry all over again and appreciate all the beauty that there are still in life, I realise that this is just as much part of my so-called real life as anything happening in that ‘real-life’. And online friends sending a small message of “thinking of you”, are just as soothing as somebody close to you hugging you, to make that day just easier to face.
I surely believe that there will be a day when I can thank you all in person, for being there for me! 🙂
I think there are a lot of you with similar stories about how the friends you made online through Alex, made your life just that little bit better! 🙂
And a big THANK YOU to those of you who comment on here, for not only always honouring Alex for the great actor he is, but also for keeping it light (and naughty 😀 ) and enjoying his previous characters and his work in Hawaii Five-0 with us.
Neither Alex nor the rest of the people involved in creating Hawaii Five-0 ever claim to be perfect or without faults. Sometimes they might disappoint us, but they work hard to entertain us and we prefer to take the best out of it and enjoy it!
May we all have a lot more fun for a long time to come, playing with our favourite “obsession” in the world! 😛

Awwww I love this! Trust me we are all glad you continued your wonderful work here. Personally I know a lot of people who can say their love of Alex has kept them going during very difficult times in their lives. Some have even said he saved them. Through Alex, I personally have made many many new friends who I hold dear to my heart and with this sight I get to enjoy the positive side of the fandom, for that I thank you very much from the bottom of my heart. I may be too busy at times to comment but I am never to busy to read and enjoy.

I am glad you are back, more regularly, I have missed you and your posts. Honestly, at the end of the day before I shut down the computer, I always come here and look at the days posts. Not just for the pretty, of course that helps, but the comments always make me smile or laugh and so matter what has gone on through the day, I can go to sleep smiling. That is what this site does for me. I am grateful to not only you and Paula but for the ladies who post as well. Truth is I don’t have the guts to say what most of you do but I sure am thinking it 😉

I love your Intense studies, they are fun and creative and they definitely help me escaping from my busy real life. Sharing our passion for Alex has also allowed me to meet so many great friends on line and some of them also in real life. So do i count for Italy, England or both 😉 ?

I sometimes carry shame for spending so much of my day thinking about Alex and when people in RL tease me about my fangirl crush. My kids joke about my obsession, but know they are the most important people in my life. Because of who I am, I searched for a safe place on the internet to express my naughtiness and passion for Alex, so that my professional and home life could stay as normal as possible. I choose to lust after this man across a thousand miles of land and ocean, instead of bringing another man into my home when I have kids to raise. My life has always been about, “What other’s think of me” but here I can just be me and I don’t worry about it. It’s always been a safe and positive place to play and I am so thankful for this blog, for Paula and FOYeur and for all of you who comment regularly. I don’t feel as alone in this fight we call life and I take it a lot less seriously now. RL has “kicked me in the @ss” a couple times this past year, but I know my struggles aren’t half of what some of you have faced. Just know that even though I am extremely naughty and inappropriate at times, I have a heart that while stretch across the oceans if I know one of you is hurting.
Wow, I had no idea I would ever write anything like that on this blog, but I wanted you all to know how important this place has been in transforming my life over the last year.
Alex isn’t only eye candy, but he is a prime example of someone who has picked themselves up after hardship and struggle and persevered. He is a true humanitarian, a great father, a faithful lover, and an incredible talent that I hope someday we will see appreciated by critics.
The first pic in B&W, is that Alex as Will? Anyway, it may be my favorite pic ever! He has a peace and calmness in his face in it and I only feel love when I look at it. Ok, I admit, my panties feel more than love! 😛

My mum always used to say that “Water finds it’s own level’ and in the case of Alex and his fans I cannot agree more, It is amazing how so many of us share his traits,. Warm . loving , kind intelligent, talented humble NAUGHTY and with a great sense of humour and compassion I have found all of that here and at LLOL where i know many of the ladies from here also Hang out.

My life changed horribly 18 months ago when I lost my soul mate of 50 years.I eventually got back on the computer and my many friends (none of whom I have ever met) showed me their love and friendship and actually gave me help, knowing they were just “there” when I needed them. You know who you are Ladies, and I will always love you for it.

I am also thankful and grateful for this vehicle as well as Twitter which gives me a joyful escape from the day to day grind. 19 months ago, a hail storm destroyed the roof and therefore contents of my office and I started working from home. Now I get to work and keep my iPad up all day listening to music I choose and watch my Twitter feed and emails with new WordPress posts all around Alex. I try not to spend too much time distracted but I love it so much. In the context of the world’s troubles today, AOL fandom seems pretty harmless for a vice.
Thank you ladies for your shared perving and making me feel like it’s completely normal for a 56yr old woman to have a fangirl crush on a very cute boy.

Foyeur, I’m touched by your words and you can be sure you have many truly friends because, despite all the bad things said about online social nets, I have found here that friendship could happen and grow between two persons that don’t care what they look like, they have or they live……….that’s for me honesty….I might be the only one visiting your blog from my country in Latinamerica :0(…..but until I began to search, as many of you a space to escape from RL problems, trying not to loose my mind and stopping problems damage more my health …( and ironically I’m a ENT doctor) , believe me I felt lonely and isolated : so I wanna thank you for all this wonderful work you do every day, despite your own problems and encourage you and the rest of these beautiful ladies of this blog to continue fighting in life and dreaming and loving…….Alex is such a positive, loving and inspiring strong force that I thank God, he’s not a carpenter but our beloved actor and man we had the blessing of meeting in this life .

I am late as always (nowadays)!
I can’t come here on a regular basis at all times but no matter how long it takes me I always ask myself “what am I missing?” and when I finally find out it is always something that combines beauty, fun, thought and caring – in pictures as well as in words.
Last fall I was struggling with the after effects of something that can be described as a” low level long time intolerance (almost poisoning?) to something in the building that I had been working in for six years (medium level fever constantly for some 18 months – not funny!) but when I found this place and all of you it made life so much easier. To know that there every day was somewhere I could see something (pic/gif, text or comment) that would put a smile on my face or give me a laugh now and then.
Thank you all for being here and being who you are – the world IS a better place with you all converging here, at least it is to me.

When I first started using this site it was fun only. Now I’m addicted to it and cannot be a single day without visiting. It became so much more than just fun and this is an achievement of Foyeur and Paula and the fangirls. I wish to express my gratitude from the bottom of my heart. AoL became very important for me over the time. I don’t want to be without the inspiration and pretty anymore. With your site you created something unique, a realm for all of us to express whatever needs to be expressed. It has all it takes to make us fangirls happy. You deliver a lot of information on the object of our desire and you never fail to show us the beauty and sexy touch of it. It’s hilarious to sift through the comments.

I think to promaote Alex, is a problem for all of us in the countries where we live – even the fans in the USA have the same problem. Only when Alex star in a major blockbuster movie, will it become easier! Although I see new fans added all the time!
Even among our personal friends it is not always easy to promote him, if they do not really like a show like H5-0.
That is why it is so important for me that we do support Alex and Hawaii Five-0 in every way we can. There are so many people (and so called fans) with their own agendas and views on how they think Alex should promote his career more and how Hawaii Five-0 should be written to fit their own fantasies.
I do not judge people and their views, but just prefer to promote the good rather than emphasize the so called faults. That is why I am so grateful for all the wonderful ladies on here who do the same!! 🙂
