I live in Hawaii, so it´s perfect. I´m boardies, t-shirt and flip-flops kind of guy.

Silly reporter lady…doesnt she know that Alex isn’t just another pretty face?! That he actually has a brain…ask him important questions..like…I don’t know…maybe about his WORK!!! Could you imagine if a reporter asked a female what type of panties she wears…it would never be tolerated!! It fires me up when our boy is disrespected!!!

His laugh was a bit “forced”. The reporter actually asked everyone the same stupid questions. I guess she thought it was appropriate considering the event?

The boring fact is, that with gifs, you need to freeze as much as you can of the frame to save on file size. That causes this “funny” look, with only part of image moving.

Yes, It is always nice to see the good manners that Alex display on talkshows. Always very courteous towards the hosts and audience!
Don’t get me wrong he, I know has a wild side too (and a real potty mouth) – but he also knows to adapt to the company he is in.

Absolutely an Aussie larrikin which is why we like him so much. ACA re stupid questions and totally agree with Justine about treating Alex like a piece of meat. Who says beauty and brains can’t be in the one package?

I believe you really should do an entry about the silly and stupid reporters asking even stupidest questions to Alex.
I hated when the BUP was released, all the questions about he grabs JLO’s ass in the film….. WTF is wrong with this reporters? it was his first leading role and all they care was about chick butt. Not fair. Not fair at all to a great actor.

I think they think that is what we want to hear about……they might be wrong or maybe they are right and that is all people want to hear about.
OR maybe they are just so flustered around him that their brains freeze or blurr and they think up all the silly things to ask 😀

Ha, you beat me to it, FOYeur 🙂 I was thinking the same thing when I read Melissa’s post. That’s why I am so glad I have found this group as it’s nice to talk about interesting stuff.
Also agree that the flustered thing might be an issue. I remember when Alex was in Oz in January for the GQ Man of the Year Awards and he was interviewed by Em Rusciano on The Project. It was hilarious as she was obviously really struggling with being overwhelmed in his presence. She asked him what it was like to have ‘abs that you can grate cheese on’ and he mumbled something in reply about her trying them (his abs) out and she was totes flustered then. Very funny.

OK, Paula, so don’t get too excited as the video is very short and the audio a bit crappy. I’ve tried to listen a few times to Alex’s answer and it’s a bit mumbled. But the body language says it all :).

I think he replied something about bikes and not having the right facial hair for this year. I guess he was referring to the other bloke, who just answered something about wearing lycra. But a lot of mumble muble, no idea what the rest was. I had seen this but didn´t realize you were talking about this interview, didn´t remember about the grate cheese on abs 😀

The ‘grated cheese abs’ is the only bit I can remember from this interview LOL. It’s pretty woeful and a shame that we didn’t get any other interviews (unless I missed them) when Alex was home in January. The other bloke is Joel Edgerton whose doing really well in the US these days and of course Jack Thompson who was in TOF. Agreed, there’s lots of mumbling but Em Rusciano’s reaction to being so close to Alex is a classic.

I think Joel will have his big worldwide break next year when the Great Gatsby is released.
And Jack Thompson is a legend. Alex regards him as his mentor, as they worked together on 3 of Alex’s first movies.
Jack must have felt like a proud “father” when he handed Alex that ‘Actor of the Year’ award!
