The Circle Of Life: #AlexOLoughlin as Jack Flange

Not enough pillows for everyone.

Remote serves as a chew toy, too.

Should´ve taken it to a vet by now.

Not looking good.

Whatever it takes

Too late.

Oops! – He’s gone!

Act innocent …

Sorry about “losing” your dog, here´s a cuter one.

Who can spot the puppy?

Who doesn´t love a vampire!

“I have always loved vampires (and) I came in with a significant knowledge of the genre. And I think if you are going to be a vampire, 30 is the peak of a man’s age.”

#AlexOLoughlin is Having a Day of Birth.

“I think I’d freak out! I mean, it’s a big deal,” [laugh]. “Talk about a life-long commitment.

A ring and a set of vows is one thing, but another living being is another, especially if it’s not your child.”

Alex O’Loughlin, HollywoodCrush, MTV, April 2010

All of us experience our own lives, but apart from photos and video we never really witness anything of our life. Even less when we are born. Our conscious mind can’t even recall that moment; much less have any visual memory of it.

We have seen Alex on two occasions, being witness to a birth in the roles he played and after both, he took on the responsibility of parenthood, although they were not his biological children.

In The Incredible Journey of Mary Bryant, we have Mary giving birth to Charlotte, on the ship to Australia with Will witnessing the miracle. They say the best bonding a father can do with his child, is witnessing the birth, because it makes him feel more part of them.

Well in the case of Will Bryant, it must have been true, because he loved Charlotte, as if she was his own. Alex himself was so adorable as Will in that scene, when she was born, and you can see the wonder of new life, on his face.

That FACE…..

Maybe it was the personal experience of witnessing his own son’s birth that gave him the ability to show those feelings so sincerely.

I have a 12-year-old. I was there when he was born. He’s the centre of my universe and always has been.

I’ll never forget the day he was born. I kept it together. I was pretty good. I was supportive.

In The Back-Up Plan, we have Stan and Zoe as witnesses of a water birth, at the single mother’s group she belonged to. I am not a great fan of that scene at all and think it was just over the top. In my personal opinion, they could have had a funny scene without making it totally ridiculous. There must have been better footage from the actors, to edit it into something better.

The look on Alex’s face, speaks volumes and the combination of amazement and horror are both there.

Zoe and Stan walking home after that whole experience says a lot. It portrays some sort of defeat and the question, “Is this what we need to go through too?” It also sparks a fight and them deciding to go their separate ways.

But in the end, Stan proclaims his devotion to the twins, who are not his own, because of his love for their mommy.

If you haven’t totally fallen head over heels for AlexStan by this time in the movie, the scene of him reading a bedtime story to the two girls,  crumbles every last bit of resistance you may have.

What more can I say because Alex did it all so perfectly……

And are we about to experience it all over again?

It looks like it!!!!

A late addition to the post.

Happy news for our guy 🙂
